Kristina Farrell’s role is focused on driving embodied carbon reduction at the building level through rigorous research and industry collaboration. Kristina has over 10 years of experience in sustainability focused on the built environment. During her career, she has supported federal programs tasked with decarbonizing the construction industry, worked with design teams to optimize projects for embodied carbon reduction and connected technical expertise to real-world initiatives. Kristina has led and contributed to numerous whole-building life cycle assessments (WBLCAs) across diverse project types and locations. Kristina holds an M.S. in Structural Engineering and Mechanics from University of Colorado Boulder and a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Cornell University. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, reading her next book club pick, and tackling home renovation projects.
