Anne M. Ellis, P.E., Hon.M.ACI, F.ASCE, F.ICT, NAC is an experienced director, recognized engineer, and champion of AEC industry advancement. Her career extends over four decades, six continents, and numerous boundary-spanning corporate roles for Fortune 500 companies enabling dynamic growth and innovation in technology, business, and operations.  Her board experience includes 16 public, private and not-for-profit boards, chairing four. Recognized worldwide in the field of concrete, she served as the American Concrete Institute Board of Direction president (2013-2014) and is co-author of the “Concrete Design and Construction” section of the Standard Handbook for Civil Engineers, Fifth Edition. Anne has been a key supporter of the work of CLF, initially as executive director of the Charles Pankow Foundation, the grant provider and administrator of the Embodied Carbon in Construction Calculator pilot tool and the CLF research that informed tool development. She continues to drive action on embodied carbon in construction materials as a subject matter expert, an advisor to start-ups bringing novel product to market, and champion of performance specifications.
