He brings to CLF an interest in board development, organizational excellence, and a commitment to inclusive, transparent communication. During his 9 years on the board of the Nature Conservancy of Washington State, Mike worked with the efforts of its Nominations &amp; Governance Committee to drive the board\u2019s outreach to underrepresented communities, including those specifically impacted by climate change. Throughout his career, he has witnessed how a broad spectrum of voices at the table improves governance and decision-making. Mike splits his time between the rainforest of Washington\u2019s Olympic Peninsula and Seattle. Besides CLF, he sits on the board of NatureBridge &#8211; an outdoor education program providing hands-on field experience to youth &#8211; and is the elected Secretary of his local drinking water utility.
