Yang got his PhD in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) from Texas A&amp;M University. His Ph.D. research was tightly associated with building science, embodied carbon quantification\/optimization, building operational energy simulation, parametric modeling, structural analysis, data analytics, and machine learning.
