This means that reducing Scope 3 emissions, including the embodied carbon associated with construction of their buildings, is critical to reaching their commitment.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft is focused on reducing carbon emissions across its operations, from buildings and datacenters to employee transportation. This white paper, \u201cReducing Embodied Carbon: An inside look into how Microsoft is reducing emissions during the construction of new buildings and datacenters\u201d places a focus on Microsoft\u2019s work to reduce embodied carbon in the design and construction of our buildings and data centers.
