Driving Demand for Low Embodied Carbon Construction Practices<\/h2>\n

The building sector is responsible for 39% of energy-related carbon emissions. From 2020 to 2060, the global building stock is expected to double, an increase equivalent to the construction of another New York City every 35 days. During this period of growth, embodied carbon (the greenhouse gas emissions from making, transporting, installing, maintaining, and disposing of construction materials) can make up nearly half of the sector\u2019s total impact. Despite the scale of this opportunity, reducing embodied carbon has historically been a blind spot for climate action.<\/p>\n
