The goal of this project was to evaluate the feasibility of BCBF data reporting requirements and identify areas for improvement in potential future BCBF programs.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;about&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h3>About<\/h3>\n<p>The Buy Clean Buy Fair (BCBF) Washington Project was a pilot study commissioned by the Washington State Legislature in 2021. This project was funded by two budget provisos that required the University of Washington (UW) College of Built Environments\u2019 Carbon Leadership Forum (CLF) to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develop a reporting database to collect environmental and labor information from state construction projects.\u00a0 For this project, the database is a prototype, meant for testing and demonstration purposes only.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conduct a case study using pilot projects.\u00a0 Five projects were enlisted to test out and provide feedback on the data reporting process.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Carbon Leadership Forum has been working with the Washington State Department of Commerce\u2019s <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.commerce.wa.gov\/growing-the-economy\/energy\/state-efficiency-and-environmental-performance-seep\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Office of State Efficiency and Environmental Performance (SEEP)<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to execute this project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following reports document the working process and findings from the BCBF Project:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carbonleadershipforum.org\/download\/987499055\/?tmstv=1724539902\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Final Report<\/a> (published and submitted to the Legislature in November 2022)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carbonleadershipforum.org\/download\/987499052\/?tmstv=1724539846\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Progress Report<\/a> (published and submitted to the Legislature in January 2022)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carbonleadershipforum.org\/download\/987499047\/?tmstv=1724539705\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Summary Document<\/a> (published in December 2022)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_code _builder_version=&#8221;4.20.2&#8243;
