Location
Hubbard's Corner 7200 Woodlawn Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98115, USAOver the past decade, the Carbon Leadership Forum (CLF) has grown from a small circle of self-described "carbon nerds" conducting research on the carbon footprint of building materials and construction into a global network of building designers, material innovators, carbon activists, and policy visionaries, collaborating to transform construction from an existential threat to a climate solution. The CLF's impact has been huge and decisive, helping to shift behavior and accountability for thousands of companies and scoring decisive climate policy wins from local building codes to the White House "Federal Buy Clean" mandate.
The event will be hosted by Don Davies (long-time CLF activist, veteran board member and MKA Engineering CEO) and Joan Crooks (former CEO of Washington Conservation Action for 25 years) at Hubbard's Corner, their new Green Lake office, an historic brick building constructed in 1912 newly redesigned to be a living laboratory where novel green materials are tested and showcased to reduce concrete’s carbon footprint.
